Ojo Customs made our Chicago street festival debut at Wicker Park Fest this year. We got the opportunity to work with local artist supernova Karlis Kandero and Pen, Ink & Song Studios to create a 5′ tall spinning dry erase globe. If you’re wondering what a human-sized dry erase globe is, it’s pretty much just like it sounds. 150,000 Wicker Park Fest goers were invited to put on their artist caps and collaborate on a globe-sized mural. The no taxes activation held a space in the center of the festival where families, children, local municipal officers and even dogs could make their mark on the world. That’s right, there was even a miniature globe, just for dogs. You can see it at Chicago’s Flat Iron Studios on First Fridays.
